00 ultra classic the ? is does the bike need to be running for the driving lamps to be on ? reinstallaing the outter fairing and they do not come on the motor is apart so I can not start it at this time thanks in advance ken

If you turn the switch on they should also come on. The engine running has nothing to do with the lights; only the switch. The factory running lights only work on dim, not high beam and the lights must be turned on with the ing. switch on.

 

ok its offical it has been a long winter the problem with the lights was the switch on the dash was in the off possition LOL this was a three hour search but it all is fine now
