I am a relatively new member of the fold, purchasing my first Harley (Ultra Classic) last fall. I am loving it, especially with this mild Northeast Winter that has provided more opportunities to ride than I expected.
I still own a Honda Gold Wing. On my Wing, I have a great aftermarket windshield called a Windbender. It is a two piece unit that is electrically adjustable up or down. Since I sometimes want a higher level of protection (cruising on the Interstate), and other times lower (twisties, rain conditions, etc), I have found it invaluable.
The company that makes the Windbender only makes them for the Wing. Does anyone know of a similar product that I could use on my Ultra?
Congrats on the 06 Ultra[sm=americanasmiley.gif] --
Sorry news for your other bikes, as I'm sure they will be sitting in the garage alot more often than not!
It's true, that since October, I have 1200 miles on the Ultra. About 50 on the Wing (which I really do still love).
But the Windhield on the Wing is something I really miss. If anyone out there knows of a similar product that will fit the Ultra, I would appreciate hearing about it.
I was looking for a taller windshield for my RKC and saw an adjustable one on an HD site ... BUT, it was a manual adjustment, not electirc. If it doesn't have to be electric (not quite as user friendly), then look on any HD parts site
The closest I could find that came anyway near that (near being not electric) is a hand crank adjusttable shield for a RK. I don't think if I owned a RK that I would be cranking a handle while going down the freeway.
