Default Cloudy Lights

I have an 06 Ultra Classic and noticed that the two front auxiliary light lenses are "clouded" on the inside surface. I inquired about this finding and was told by the HD service advisor that this was normal and occurred with all the bikes if you use the auxiliary lights a lot. Is this on the level? Or should I pursue replacement lense covers while the bike is still under warranty? Appreciate anyone's input on this! Thank you -

Best Regards

It happens to my '07 also.
I think it's caused by the heat created by the lamps.

Just about everyone I know with a newer bike has the same problem. I replaced the lens and reflected. Then installed H-3 bulbs.... This was the best mod I have done to my bike ...The visibility both day and night is great. The total cost to me for parts was about $100...Also yo have to do a little wire cutting and adapting the new reflectors to fit. The first lamp will take you a good hour to figure it all out, the second one of course will be much easier...definitely worth the effort. If you need help finding the parts let me know

My 06 FLHRCI is doing the same thing! Looks like crap. I'm getting a new tire Friday, I'll try to get them to warranty them. I'll let you know

Just a follow-up to all, the auxiliary lights "will" be replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, the HD dealership did not have the replacement items readily available, so I will have to return to have the service done. Question: This problem with the auxiliary lights clouding up is not an isolated case, it appears to occur on quite a few of the bikes that I have seen. From a safety standpoint, I utilize the auxiliary lights whenever I take the bike out. Is this something MOCO should address as a recall/update?

I haven't yet gotten up the nerve to remove my ignition switch to rewire the passing lamps so I can have them on with the high beams, so I really don't use them that much because during the day I always run with my high beams on....makes you way more visible to on-coming traffic than even running low beam with passing lamps on....so the ones on my 08 UC are still clear.

I just ruined mine trying toclean them out, I think it is being caused by moisture seeping into the unsealed beam.I will silicone the replacement bulb to try to seal them.
