Byrdshog, make sure that you're burning an mp3 from a song that you have rights to. By this I mean if you're using a service like napster you can download the song to your computer and play it there but can't burn it to cd. I use Sony's Sonicstage program and it is very easy to burn mp3's with it will tell you whether or not you music is mp3 compatible.

Yup Nero (as a data disk) or iTunes (burn playlist)

I use ITUNES. No problems. Works great.
