Mileage depends on load and head winds. My eg will very if I have a passenger or bucking alot of wind.Did not start to get 43 or 44 mpg untill about 15,000 miles on engine.I normally run 70 to 75 mph.
I too would like to hear about the 40 MPG+ methods. I've been able to get in the high 30s but that's about it.
Just added a Thundermaxx and Tru-Duals Rhinehart
so we'll see which direction the "economy" goes, likely downwards...........mind you highway acceleration is better.
Don't believe everything you read. There are way to many variables between any two bikes to even get close. Riding habits, Speed, Weight of Rider, Passenger or not, Type of Tires, Type of Road, Air Pressure, Wind, Weather, Area, Traffic, City or Country roads, Elevation, Upgrades, The fact that some still cannot give change for a dollar and the fact that no two bikes are the same are just the ones off the top of my head.
48 mpg was the top tank fullon the way to Sturis on my 07 EGC, 10,000 miles, best I've got on my 08 RG is 41 mpg, only 1500 miles on her, seems these bikes take about 3500 miles tosmooth out.
well, i guess i feel better hearing all with less than 40mpg. both my 07 rkc and wife's 07 deluxe get about the same. i'm a 300lber but she is 140. From what i am reading though it seems there is a big difference, 10mpg, running on the highway.
