I've got a 2008 streetglide w/ 3300mi. & it left me on the side of the road this weekend. was not getting fuel & wouldn't idle. turns out the fuel shell, fuel filter & o-ring need replaced. what's up w/ that? I've never had any issues w/ bikes before, the bikes only 6 mo. old??

Even if you buy from quality gas stations personally I never fill up any of my vehicles when the tanker truck is there.....they stur up the muck in the bottom of the tanks and can result in you getting some of it in your car or bike.

An' that's the thing. Even good stations can git bad fuel loads, which is what it sounds like here, because the only thing that's gonna clog a filter is foreign matter - an' the only way fer it ta git in the tank is from the gas. If it had come from the factory that way, it woulda plugged sooner.

I'll pay a little more attention next time , never had that problem before. I p/u the bike today, we'll see what the dealer has 2 say about. **** happens.

It's kinda one of them "what kin ya do" type of thangs. Ah typically git 50-60k miles outta the fuel filter on mah truck. The wife's Lincoln plugged at 20k, yet we buy gas at the same station.
