Been using Amsoil 20-50 MCV for two years now. It is about the best oil there is, but you can do just about as well with other top brand synthetics such as Mobil-1 Vtwin, Royal Purple, and Redline just to name a few. I use Amsoil in the engine only. The trans gets Redline Shockproof Heavy gear oil and the primary gets good ol' H-D Formula+.

Exact same here. I tried Amsoil in the tranny and everything seemed to get noisier. People say I am nuts but put Shockproof back in the xmsn and things quieted back down a bit. No need for synthetic in the primary.
