I am looking to buy an 08 RK. I have read that there have been some issues with the "fire wire" throttle setup where the bike accelerates without warning. Anyone have any info on this?
There's no "fire wire" throttle on **any** brand of motorcycle.

Exactly , "Firewire" is a type of data connection for Digital cameras, External Hard drives etc.......I have not found a need yet to connect a hard drive to my bike[sm=escape.gif]
There is another post that is a survey in the recent past if you spend some time looking it should be easily finadable. Read it in its entirety. Dont forget you will find alot of experts out there and very few professionals. Experts know everything about everything and professionals know that they don't.
Agree with the all BS statement. I keep hearing about it, but it's always a friend of a friend's second cousin on their mom's side, twice removed ....... haven't heard it first hand. As much as it seems to be happening according to some, you would have thought the MOCO would have been panicking, after all, can't have a bunch of full throttle bikes out there, somone's going to get hurt. Funny thing, everyone who swears against it that I know hasn't ever even ridden one yet with TBW.
Now, about the fire wire. In the computer world, this is a fast connection. If we get fire wire for the throttle sensors will my throttle response be faster?
