I got the fixed one for my SG (here) and love it. I didn't think I would move it after I got it where I liked it. JMHO. Of course you would need a different one for your ECG (seat pattern)Hope it helps. But whatever you choose you'll be glad you did.
I got the adjustable comfort stitch adjustable backrest from HD for my EGC and I love it. It was easy to install and you can adjust it on the fly. You can get it online for 20% less than advertised on the HD site.

Ride well,
Jim
Yup, that's the one I have. I wasn't sure if I would use the adjustment feature on the fly, but on longer rides, I do.
I have the Harley non adjustable and just love it.
It's actually fairly adjustable , just not "on the fly" with a screw in the bottom/rear of the backrest.
Bought the comfort stitch and it still matches my new Mustang seat pretty well too.
If I had to do it again , I'd probably go with the Mustang backrest , but it's just a preference for me.
Once you have a backrest , you probably won't ride without one ever again.
Good luck.
