Rebuilt Title?
I'm going to be buying a 2002 Ultra Classic that has a rebuilt title. Does this hurt the value of the bike? My plans are to keep the bike for a long time and the price is right. I just can't see buying a new bike with my intentions of modding out the motor and adding a 6 speed tranny. Any recomendations?
Yes it does hurt the value, but if your planning on keeping a long time it probably won't matter, but what will matter is your state laws. I would check with the local DMV to make sure it able to be titled/plated and insured before buying. I know around here there are things that need to be done or checked before it's approved.
WILL REDUCE THE VALUE BUT SINCE YOU PLAN ON KEEPING FOR A LONG TIME IT WONT MATTER. I WOULD CHECK THE STATE DMV THOUGH AS SOME STSTES DONT ALLOW REBUILT SALVAGE TITLE VEHICLES ON THE ROAD.
Good tip. I didn't even think about that. It has been inspected and passed for Ohio. I won't be able to check with NC until April due to being overseas. I'm buying it from someone here. Here is a link to the page. All thoughts are welcomed.

What my plans are:
port the heads
98" piston kit
gear drive cam that provides good low end torque
SE 6 speed tranny
either Rinehart or V&H exhaust
SE filter
SERT

Is there an echo?

I just searched online and they had a phone number to call. I won't be able to make that call from here. I'll see if my better half can check it out. This kind of has me leaning on the fence a bit. Have you looked at the pics? A second opinion would be great.
