Who makes the LEO helmets and are they available to the general public? I would like to purchase one but don't know where to start. I figure they wear them daily so they must be fairly comfortable and a good quality.
You can buy one and you can wear it,as long as you don't start adding badges or official looking markings.
Do not try to give people the impression that you are a police officer if you are not.
LEOs frown on that and it's illegal.
I've talked to a few motorcops, some of the new styles have the add in cushions like a kids bike helmet has,so it can be fitted to different heads,I'm told they are that comfortable with these add in pads, dont recall the manufacter either, sorry. I've been thinking of one as well,i like the rear strap at the base of the skull,to keep the helmet from rolling off during a accident, which can accure with a reg. half helmet if not fitted properly to your head, and kept tight by the strap.
let me know what you find ,and what make you end up with, thanks
The SEER helmets look like a great helmet. They are a bit pricey but i think they are very well made. If I don't get one of these then I will just get a 3/4 with comms in it from J&M. Thanks for the links. Maybe I can find a used one somewhere.
