Swapped my stock bars for the HD tallboy, they're not as "high" as I was hoping but farther forward and wider apart. Did some parking lot trials yesterday and they don't hit my knee, heading out for a longish ride this morning as the acid test.
Installation went well, except where I pinched the ignition wire (duh). Turned the key on, tested all the lights, than blew a fuse when I hit the run switch. It took another hour to dismantle the right side, find and patch the pinhole and reassemble.
