MAN, that looks killer!! I just got an '08RoadGlide and want to do the exact same thing, or maybe a wood-grain pattern. Just how much trouble is it getting the fairing off?
Wasn't hard at all. We took off the outer fairing, removed all the gauges, speakers, and radio and number labled all the connections. then it is just four bolts and pulling the wires through the opening and its off. We put the new one on again pulling the wires back through the opening and reinstalled all the gauges, new speakers, the radio with a new electronic antena. put a chrome molding instead of the black one it had and then put the outer fairing back on and it was done. The secreat is to put the headlamp assembly in last. From start to finish it took just over 3 hours.
Gary, you did a super jobs, looks great,I did mine (glacier white pearl) a few months back fell in love with my bike all over again.Like the chrome trim too, been thinking about putting it on mine, is it easy to install, just replaces the original stuff. Again super job, know you are proud of it too, be safe out there.
thanks everyone it was a months work because of the weather was not good and also

and the fork covers i was going to chrome all of it but the chrome guy said 3 to 4 weeks
f that i will paint them thanks again guys
