Default pc3 question

okay, need to get a general consensus here. i have an 07 road king, v&h bigshot duals, and se a/c. i thought i had an idea the other day, but read something that made me question it.

so my question is: if i am in the middle of bfe, and my pciii decides to bite the big one, do i bypass the pciii, unplug the o2 eliminators and reconnect the o2 sensors and ride on?

or do i leave the o2 sensors plugged in, bypass the pciii, and ride on?

which option is going to be the best and offer the least possibility for engine damage?

Ok, I'm dense as a rock but, that sounds like the same thing to me.

Gotta think, if the PCIII takes a dump, you go back to stock, i.e. bypass the PCIII, pull out the O2 eliminators and reconnect to O2 sensors in the pipes.

the difference was in the one scenario, i leave the o2 eliminators plugged in, and the 02 sensors unplugged, in the other scenario, i unplug the o2 eliminators and plug the 02 sensors back in.

I think that's a good question. After bypassing the PC I'm not sure what signals the ECM would send without feedback from the sensors. Whatever the answer is I'm pretty sure it would be lean. Without knowing I would figure out a way to restrict some of the air flow going in.
Be interesting to see if someone has the answer as to what the ECM will do with and without the sensor feedback.
