Default Quetion for the pros about my dyno tune today

I got the bike back today. The results were 73.69 HP 78.15 Torque. I have se mufflers se air filter and the sert. The bike runs 90 % better than before. On occation it is has a pop on decel. And on occation when you get ready to take off from a stop. When you throttle up it spits very rare it does this but it does on occation. He said the air fuel mixture may be a touch on the lean side. Here's the question on the dyno graph before the adjustments were madeI was at 14 on the air/fuel chart. After the adjustment I was at 13 air/fuel chart. What is the ideal number to be at. Thanks. Bob.

all are different but if it is still popping you are not optimally tuned.

The right air/fuel is partly the tuners experience. Mine was dynoed and set up to run at 13.7 a/f. It runs really well no pop on decel. A different tuner did my buddies bike and he set his up at 13.4 a/f. I am not a wrench so my experience is limited what I have seen. I am sure someone will jump in here and give you a more definitive answer.

For optimum performance the engine will operate most efficiently at around
14 to 1 during the cruising range and 13.3/13.5 to 1 during heavy acceleration or WOT.

Most stock off the showroom floor are at like 14.7 to 1.

Bob, I have the same exact mods on my SG and guess what? Our numbers are almost exactly the same. The only difference is the AFR. Before the tune when I was running the download it was 13.0 across the board. After the SERT and tune it is at 13.7 across the board.
My bike gurgles and pops a bit on decel but is fine when I accelerate. I think you are to rich with the AFR.
It is my understanding that the lower the number the richer the mix. I'm not sure if I am correct on that stat.
Does your bike have more shake at idle than before your pipes etc.?

You are correct:

Lower A/F ratio = Richer
Higher A/F ratio = Leaner

Streetrunner to be honest. I think the bike has maybe a little less shake at an idle. Not that much to notice. I belive I am close with this. The tuner says he might be able to tweek it hear and there. To try to rid the pop on decel. Its not that bad but on occation it shows up. He says the se pipes are more noticable than the stock pipes. I am not sure about that. Tomorrow I will top off the gas tank and take it for a long ride and check the milage as well. bob.

Right around 13 makes good power and should not pop.

It should run 100% better, not 90%. There should be absolutely no popping or spitting, period. Don't settle for anything less than a perfect tune. Get it right!

Yea I would let him fine tune the bike a little more. Let him know what it's doing and I'm sure he can fix it no problem.
