Just 'cause they give you a ticket doesn't mean you're guilty. \\; the DA has to prove that the vehicle is operating illegally. \\; \\; \\; how many vehicles operate less than 70db?

If you read the Federal laws, the test procedures are alot more scientific then walking around with a Radio Shack dB measuring device. \\; I think they would be hard pressed to make the measurements accurately.

Is this law enforced against, landscapers? and teen-agers with boon box stereos? or is it just the bikes they want to quiet down?

There are far more of either of those than loud pipes, but when you hear someone brag about HOW COOL it is to set off car alarms with his pipes, I suppose you can't be very surprisd the public is about fed up

I love setting off car alarms!

I'm sorry but I love setting off car alarms. I do rev it up when I hear them chirp.
