Actually it is not an iPod. It is a Quest 2 GPS. In lieu of the Harley GPS (which is really a Quest 1) I saved money by getting the Quest 2 off of ebay. I ordered the mount for the Harley GPS from my local dealer assuming that all of the mount hardware would be supplied, however the cradle that the GPS sits in had to be ordered separately from the dealer.
Thank you for the info. I never really thought to look for an IPOD mount at gpscity. You having thinking of looking for a mount to use both my GPS and my IPOD now.

I know on the 06 its right in the face plate of the radio. Thats how I have mine connected... Not sure on the 05...
(not connected in the picture)
Here you go BOB its very solid mount. I am also and waiting on a GPS mount to swap it back and forth.
You can get a FM trancevier for the IPOD so all you do is tune your FM radio to is. There are a lot of them out there just use Google to find them. I don't have any links for them here at work.

Is there any way to hook up a IPOD to the speakers without a installed stereo? (EG Standard - no radio)
I have the FM transceiver that plugs into the cigarette lighter on my truck. I then tune the radio to the same setting as the transceiver and it works very well.
I wouldn't be able to use this set up on the bike, however, as the plug for the cigarette lighter is long enough to hit the tank on a hard left turn. Too bad, it works very well and charges the iPod while it's running.
HD renegade, Sorry for the question but do you know how to tell what generation your IPOD is ? It looks like may not work in that mount. I have the one with the connector on the bottom, the long narrow one. Thanks for any help
Found it , ive got a 4th Generation so ill look around and see if i can find a mount for it. I like that style on your bike thats what ive been looking for. Here is the link to determine which IPOD you have if anyone needs it http://ipodbatteryfaq.com/ipodbatteryandpower.html
