I keep my bike pretty clean.after every ride I notice more and more tiny scratches in the clear coat.I got the harley scratch remover and it works,but is the clear coat soft or is there a product that would resist these hairline scratches.I get tired of buffing them out all the time.
Try the turtle wax ICE polish. \\;\\\\\\; It does a great job of hiding small scratches.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Never polish a dirty bike. \\;\\\\\\; Try using a California Duster on the paint first.
 \\;
If the scratches are bad, try NuFinish fine polishing compound on a rag.
 \\;
For wax I use Meguiars Tech Wax, it's great. \\; I'm sure others have thoughts on this.
I had a 06 vivid black Road king and the paint looked great when I traded it with 25,000 miles on a vivid black EGC. \\; I was thinking the clear coat on the 08 is showing swirls and scratches a lot more than the 06. \\; Figured it was my imagination but I guess it could be different. \\; Wouldn'tn trade back though.
I've got a vivid black EGC and have posted this before. The clear coat SUCKS. I'm very careful after I noticed a water spot on the tour pack (back in 06) and just thought I would lightly buff it off with the sleeve of the (clean) sweatshirt I was wearing. Suprise! This is not the first vehicle I've owned and I have done a bit of painting in a past life. Love the bike. Love the color. Can't understand why HD can't figure out this stuff on there own. I've been thinking about having clear shot over the crap thats on there. Anyone done that?
