Default temperature gauge problem.....

Hi all...has anyone experienced a mis-read on their SG outside/air temperature gauge? When it's 70 or 75 etc., it will read almost 85 to 90....today, I picked it up from storage and its about 38 degrees or so and the whole way home it read 60 to 65. Has this ever been an issue?

I believe the engine heat radiating affects the accuracy. An Oil Temp gauge wouldve been more useful for sure.

Yes we are on the same page, this is not a HD fix. As a matter of fact I heard about in this forum. The link is http://www.wallyscycleworld.com/onlinespecials.asp or try http://www.wallyscycleworld.com/virt...osdatapage.asp

I would assume the sensor it in the fairing, haven't looked myself decided to put the oil temp in instead. A person could locate the sensor and relocate it to maybe under the triple tree. I would think the air in the fairing has no air movment and with the sun beating down on it would cause a +/- degree variation. But hey you know what they say about assuming.
