i just bought one of the traffic light changers the magnetic type do these things

My wife's bike had one on it when we purchased it. \\; Hard to say for sure, but it really seems like we haven't been missed by a light when I ride with her. \\; The previous owner mounted it in a place that is a little inconvenient for using the lift, but I've left it on so that must mean I think it works.
I have also been touching the kickstand to the pavement when stopping (as suggested on the forum) and making sure to park within the sensor area.
Which trigger did you buy?

have not tried the kickstand trick yet i will see how the unit works 1st
