Pick up your bike by backing up to it. Squat, back to bike,turn the handle bars as straight as you can and pick-up using your legs. By this method even a smaller person can pick-up an ultra fairly well. Don't foreget to raise the jiffy stand before picking up if it is on it's right side.

It does indeed work, since I had to pick up my Standard just last week. \\; 360degree on-ramp, slick spot, guardrail, and down. Little damage to both the bike and me. Sure pissed me off at myself, though. I yanked it right up and rode away.

I mean what I said. Raise it (point it toward the sky) if the bike is on it's right side. It will be engaged \\; (lowered) when the motorcycle is once again on two wheels.
