I've ordered a set of Infinity Kappa 52.9i speakers for my 08 Street Glide. \\; Haven't got them yet though.
 \\;
These speakers have a dohicky in the middle that looks like it sticks out past the end of the main speaker body.
 \\;
My question is\\;
Do \\;I need a spacer when I intall them? \\; Will the Infinity grill's fit my bike or do I have to reuse the orginal factory speaker grills?
 \\;
Thanks,
Willie
If you have not pulled your OE speakers out, they sit in a spacer/holder that backs them away from the OE grille. You'll have roome behind this for the center tweeter. As to whether or not you HAVE to use the OE grille or can use the one with the speakers, I can't speak to that as I just dropped in HOGTUNES which fit just like the originals and they had a raised center tweeter with no interference.
Pull the old speakers, install new speakers.
no new grill.
Sits behind the black OEM speaker material on the bike now.
Bolts right in.
Once you pull the first speaker, after you pull your fairing it will all be clear.
 \\;
Check the rubber surround when you install the new speaker and make sure your not compressing it between the speaker and the spacer/grille. \\;I found that the rubber surround is a larger diameter than the \\;spacer. \\;I installed the 5022i and \\;had to add spacers.
