Wife got a recall on her 06 Street bob about 6 months or so after we got it. Something about a battery box bolt if I remember right. when we bought the bike new, they had us sign a paper acknowledging there was a bearing in the primary that was a known issue and would be replaced every 15k for life................been done once so far, wondering what's gonna happen next time. Bike was still under warranty 1st time.

I got a few letters to bring my '06 Road Glide in to the dealer to have a voltage regulator changed out and a change to the ignition switch locking pin.

Are you looking for recalls specific to one particular model/year or am I missing the point of this post?

examples.... isolated drive system for the 07 touring bikes $ 305 to shut up the tranny clatter and now the fuel filter shell on the 08's $33 so you wont be stranded on the side of the road and how about the new exhaust on the 09's
touring bikes to get rid the heat so it wont cook the back of your leg.That's what i'm getting at

By your logic we should all still be using out houses, and candles for lighting.

Technology advances. Embrace it, or forever be left behind.

If any of the three examples given (IDS, fuel cannister, engine heat) were determined to be the root cause of a specific failure mode I agree Harley should have had a recall.
&nbsp\\;
However, I'm not aware of any '07's or '08's that failed due to the high level of engine heat. I'm also not aware of any '07's who's transmissions/engines failed due to lack of IDS and what I do know is only a very small percentage of all the '07 FLH's were retrofitted with IDS. I'm also not aware that all '08's with the original fuel cannister design failed.

Stop by the NHTSA site and see just how many posted there-not many compared to those that complained on various sites like this. Those items mentioned werent considered safety related but who knew at the time?

My 06 SG had a recall on the ignition lock. Took several months for the dealer to get the part in.
