Default Need Help with RG windshield!!!

Need help with RG windshield aftermarket install.&nbsp\\; OEM bushings are crap and aftermarket windshield (7" dark smoke from "bikersdelite" on EBay) is flat.&nbsp\\; The OEM bushings pop out of fairing when I try&nbsp\\;to install, since the aftermarket shield is shipped flat and is not curved.&nbsp\\; It bends no problem, but there is too much force and these OEM bushings can't hold.
&nbsp\\;
Please help!!
&nbsp\\;
Thanks!!

The OEM's can only be used once. Replacement cost is around $2.00 each

That dont sound right get new ones everytime you want to change your shield? I only changed mine 4 times but still used the oem well nuts and no problems. If they come out staighten it out thread the screw in a little bit and insert but 2 bucks a piece isnt a big loss either

Thanks guys.&nbsp\\; I'll get some new ones.&nbsp\\; It does seem thought that they should be able to last for a few changes.&nbsp\\; I mean this bike is only 4 months old.
&nbsp\\;
Anyone try anything else?&nbsp\\; Anyone put together their own "fastener" system?&nbsp\\; There must be someone out there that has done something different, or bought some improved aftermarket type.&nbsp\\; Please let me know.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks!

You might try putting the center screw in loosely.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Put the other well nuts in and snug them up so the well nut starts holding.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; This should leave enough room to slide the windshield in between the screws and the the well nuts.
I've been able to reuse the well nuts serveral times but if you have a dealer near you the $10 is well worth the investment.
