Default chrome fork question

For those of you that have installed them on your own, what did you use to install the oil seals? Thanks

One more question, can I reuse my stock fork bushings or do they press in? This is on a 08 EGC. I have to make a run to the HD dealer tonight and I want to be sure that I have everything for tomorrow's install. Thanks.

Change the seals and the copper washers on the 6mm bolts (or just get new bolts as the come with washers) The rest should be fine

really good idea to purchase extra 6mm bolts...those bolts are difficult to remove sometimes...may wish to use some pb blaster and let sit ...and then impact wrench....

Do the bushings press into the fork sliders, or do they stay wrapped around&nbsp\\;the fork tubes when I take the front end apart? The manual really doesn't do a good job of explaining that. Thanks

I have pics on here somewhere of when I took mine apart. None of them are "pressed" on.

Real easy.Did mine about 6 mnths ago and used Dawg's 1.5" pvc idea (2' long). Worked great.Make sure retainer clip seats fully all around in groove, seal has to be fully seated to happen.
