Took it to the dealer 3 times and finally changed primary and set clutch to spec

No more surge, drag, pull or lag.&nbsp\\; Smooth as ice.&nbsp\\; Before 3rd time they kept doing quick adjust of my clutch and it was so far out of spec.

Perhaps it is a fuel and timing issue, but on the older bikes (yeah, I'm older too) surging was a sign of a loose primary chain.

I have a friend that is an indy, he said, when I had this problem to replace the coil and plug wires. Worked for me, you may have the same problem
