This past weekend I removed my HD radio and installed a Sony CDX GT-720 head unit with Sirius radio, a Blaupunkt THA275PNP 75W x 2 amplifier, and 4 Polk Momo MMC 525 5-1/4" 2-way speakers. I used the Hawg Wired installation kit and adapter harness to retain the handlebar controls.

 

My previous system was Hogtune front and rear speakers with their amp. It sounded pretty good but I wanted satellite radio and a Sony unit so I removed the whole system.

 

The amp is a 2 channel amp. I was limited with space since I installed everything under the fairing. That is why I didn't go with a 4 channel amp. I wired the speakers so that the amp runs in a 2 ohm load. It is rated to handle this.

 

Must have had no use for a C.B. huh???

 

The system rocks! I use 1/2 of the volume as before and it is very clean and plenty loud. The speakers came with their own crossovers

 

Only bad part is that I didn't take any photos of the install prior to putting the fairing back on.

 

good luck with that amp i had two and both would cut out once volume went past about 3/4 doa search others had same problem, hope you dont

Just wanted those of you tossing the idea to know that there are better systems out there that are cheaper.&nbsp\\;

 

I'm totally satisfied with my choices.
