Maintenance items
Rode out to Sturgis and put on about 3540 miles on my new Ultra purchased 6-25-08.* Pulling out of Sturgis last Wednesday I noticed dayligt where it shoudln't be looking down at the left side of my windshield.* Decided to go over to Black Hills HD since the bike is new and I have an extended warranty to boot.* After waiting about 15 minutes for a fix and being told they didn't have the correct part I waited another 20 minutes for "paperwork" only to be told I owed $11.10 for the "repair".* When I questioned the charge I was told it was a "maintenance item" and that the Milwaukee rep on site (who didn't have the ***** to identify himself) declared it so.* I have the top of the line bike and*have bought HD since 1974.* If that is how they treat a loyal customer then I have major issues! If any of you corporate types are monotoring this site be forewarned I will be calling customer service in the next few days to vent my dissatisfaction.* This kind of crap is just plain stupid!!!!
when my bike wouldn't stat i called the stealer and they told me it would be $100 to pick it up I told them it was under warranty and they still said $100 if you cant get it here. wtf kind of warranty is this? please post the # for customer service.
Thinking dealer and good service go together will make us all crazy. They tell us when we are buying our bikes how great their service is and how they will take good care of us once we become "part of the HD family". Once they have our money, they could care less what happens to us, "their family members".
Papa, I've got a 2000, so wouldn't know what an extended factory warranty is like, but do they pay for tow charges if you're broken down? Heck of a deal if they do.
