at 70+, maybe closer to 80, the front end just feels a little loose or something
by brother suggest gettign a stabilizer bar for the front end, a thing like a piston that attaches to the front end and to the frame so stop unwanted movement
what is your experience with driving an ultra over 70
My Ultra is stable to 100 loaded and 2-up, I haven't gone faster. Check tire pressures, check steering head bearings for swing, check rear wheel alignment, check the engine mounts. Adding a steering stabilizer is a band-aid and does not fix the problem. If you are experiencing a weave or wobble at 70 something is wrong. Also take the 150 pounds of junk out of the Tourpack...j/k
a simple fix may be to purchase a lowwer windshield. factory height tends to make the bike feel light at speeds especially behind a big rig. lowered mine to 8 " no more worries!
Think blue has a point there maybe, came back from a group ride last Sunday and the ride ended at last gas stop so wife and I were really ready to open 'er up a bit after some slow tight twisties and group chugging around. Well we passed the remains of the group on the interstate as we edged up to about 98 and ride was great right up til I caught a good blast as I passed a semi and a little head wind to boot. Thought that bike was gonna take flight! Could really see the flex of that stock shield, plus at 6'7" that stock sheild is right dead in my line of sight! Need shorter version.
Not sure if that is your problem Mark but just as a part of the process of elimination I would take it to the dealer to have it checked out.
