Installing Baffles
I'm switching baffles on my Rush slip ons. The old baffles came out fairly easy but when I tried to put in the new ones they went so far, almost all the way, and then got tight and wouldn't move any further. I tried putting on some light oil but that didn't seem to help much. I left the pipes mounted on the bike while switching the baffles. I'm guessing I should probably take the pipes off so I can use more force and have better leverage. Any tricks to doing this?

I just did the same thing with my " Pythons"....Putting them back in took alittle doing. You have to tip the forward end of the baffel up so that itgo over the stock pipe that extends into the muffler. I had to use a hammer handlel to put downard pressure to the tail end and lightly push the baffel back in place. Removing the whole muffler will likely take just as much time.
It turned to not be that much of a problem once I took a little more time. I did have to take the left side pipe off and with a block of wood and a rubber mallet I have too knock the baffle in that last inch. The right side went in with the pipe in place. I wondered that if I had to knock the left baffle in place I would never be able to get it out if needed. But I suppose I could just know it out from the opposite end, so it shouldn't be a problem. I changed from the 1.75 inch baffle to the 1.5 inch and still have some good sound but a lot less of that hammering you get through the helmet. The Rush slip ons with the 1.5 inch baffle is great for those who want better than stock but not obnoxious.
