Help me identify this engine.

As I frequent this forum, I’ve come to realize that “most” of the experts reside here.

As such, I’m asking for some help to identify this engine. I know (?) it’s not an H-D product.

I’m guessing it something British. Any input would be appreciated.

Ditto on the Royal Enfield. Probably an English made "Interceptor" from about the 60's. ........... BC

I just went through some old books and it doesn't look like any of the interceptors I saw. There is a Triumph that comes close but not exactly.
It does look like a Brit. engine.
