Default BJ's Gas?

Was wondering if anyone here had put gas from BJ's or Costco Wholesale clubs that have cheaper prices into their bikes and how they ran? I work around the corner from both of them, and have cards to both, I'm just hesitant that it's really cheap stuff and going to make the bike run like crap...

No problem at all... doesn't matter what name brand is on the pump cause it all comes from the same refineries.

I like BJs !!! Oh crap, you're talking about the store, aren't you?

Personally, I think gas is gas, just make sure the octane rating is up and I try to steer clear of ethanol when I can. The cheaper gas is usually 10% ethanol, that keeps the cost down, but now my favorite, BP, says on the pump, MAY contain, doesn't tell you if it does or not.

I use Costco gas from time to time and have had no issues. The one time I have had gas issues was from Shell of all places.

All gas is NOT created equal. BJs and Costco source from the lowest common refinery. Name brand gas stations, aren't absolutely better, but they will have a different chemical make-up. Shell has additives that are claimed to help keep the internal engine cleaner, etc.

The local BJ's has a sticker on the pump 10% Ethanol. They are only $.01-$.03 cheaper than everyone else. Haven't tried it in the bike, but I have tried it in the cage. It seems I got 2-3 MPG less then when gas was purchased at a name brand station.

Gas is pretty much regulated by industry standards, the Name brands will usually have little more octane give away then brand x and the detergent packages are better in name brand gas. you have to try them out and go for the cheapest. The fines for selling lower quality gas than advertised are extremely expensive and very rare anyone is doing this, you would hear about it. I just started using 87 octane with ethanol with no problems or pinging.
