Installing Tour Pack...help!
Looking for some help,
When I purchased me pride and joy (93 ultra), it came with the tour pack and with what I believe to be all the proper mounting hardware/brackets. He had taken it off to make it appear like a street glide. (will try to up pic so you know my starting point).
With a big ride coming up next weekend (Tomahawk Wi), I need the extra space so I am reinstalling the pack and the stock seat.
Looking for a write-up, quick directions...ANYTHING to atleast start me in the right direction. My "help" went to Cali and Utah after he told me "No problem". Might be back in time...might not be.
Any help would be great.
Thanx as always

It's pretty simple (if it's close to the way the 07 is setup)....
There's three basic components of the pak support:
1. OEM ultra license plate bracket bolts to
2. Lower U-bar (already on your bike)
3. Upper (bigger) U-bar bolts to top of lic plate bracket(rear) and to frame (front)
Looking on the bike, the upper-most part of the existing rail is actually a thin decorative cover. Remove your saddle bags. Then remove the front saddlebag mount (which will losen the front of this rail cover), then losen the bolt on the side of the rail cover.
Lift the cover up slightly (you don't need to remove it). You'll see a bolt hole semi-hidden under the rail cover (about mid-way).
If your pak is mounted to the big U-bar, remove it.
Slip the big U-bar into position so the front holes line up to the bolt holes behind the rail cover. There should be a torx bolt that holds this.
The back of the big U-bar will bolt up to the top of the OEM (upright) license plate bracket which connects to the smaller U-bar (that exists on your bike currently). The most-aft of the five bolts inside the tour pak will make the connection between the big U-bar and the top of the lic plate bracket.
Then you just bolt on your pack. Should be five bolts and five 1" flat/notched spacers that go under the bar (so the nuts will have a flat surface).
Really simple once you see the instructions. Install and removal only take about 10 mins once you've done it a few times (if you're not messing with wiring, speaker, or ants).

Thanx all.
Yea, Beaver Dam (kinda near). Will give er a go this weekend provided 1) I dont work and 2) my 2 year old is in a "good" mood.
I am fairly mechanicaly inclined just never done this. I have a dealer in town if I get lost that has been helpful (I just dont want to wear out my welcome).
All the wires for the pack are under the seat and I dont plan on attaching the ant.
/bow in debt once again!

Attacked it today and came up short. It looks like the front of the bracket mounts up to the shock bolt. If that's the case, this just turned tougher. Followed the instructions the rest of the way just so I could understand for when I do install it.
but
I noted a problem when I had the bag's off: the 5 bolts the attach the pully to the wheel had 3 remaining. Other 2 were sheared off. Kinda worries me. I think if I took it easy, I'd be fine. Not gunna risk it. Will have local dealership drill and tap (or that other thing that backs em out). Might have them install the tour pack base while they are there with the tire off. Makes this all moot.
But, I appreciate your time and help

The best thing you can buy is the HD Service Manual for your bike. For your vintage, the SM will be more complete than the current versions--in addition to the information/pics in our books, your's will also have electrical diagnostic information.
Back in the day, HD would combine two model years in a single book--so don't be surprised if the HD manual is for '93-94 bikes, or '92-93.
They show up on ebay or you might just order one from the dealer--but it'll will pay for itself with projects like your current TP installation, service procedures, etc.
