Does anybody know the paint code for 2006 Brandy Wine Singlo. I want to paint my trailer and the dealer says he don't have a paint code. (He will sell me paint)
Try talking to shop that sells paint to the shops and they can either 1 use a scanner on your paint to get the mix needed or they can talk to their PPG guy and get the code for you.
Harley uses PPG and usually the scanner will pick up the color code. My gf father owns a shop and he used the scanner to find out it was a stock GM color.

The above are what another member posted not long ago. Didn't have much of the 06's colors though!
My paint to the 06 RK â 98609BXY for the FIRE RED PEARL qt at $118.75 / needs accelerator : 99825-02 (states on the top of the quart) and mix at a ratio of 4:1 $42.00
Primer 98603A qt $39.00
Clear 98609EK qt $52.05
I think that the suffux alphabetic char's at the end of mine may not be needed to order the paint from a jobber.
If anyone has more codes please add to the list!
Additionally this would be a good item to post in the DIY section for future referecne!
Find a paint dealer that has a "Prophet" camera. This a camera that they can take a pic of any paint, hook it to a computer and it will give them the paint formula. no **** it really works! That is how I got my hard saddle bags painted to match my FLHRS.
Tried the camera approach. The color didn't match. It was close but no match. The jobber is a PPG jobber and he couldn't get it quite right.
I did not want to pay the high price for the paint from HD either. I did the camera approach you are speaking of. Yes, it is not a perfect match. I painted my trailer with the matched paint. It does not have all of the multi color metal flake, my bike has, but the color is so close, noone else can tell. I am happy with it. My buddy bought the paint and preped and sprayed my trailer for $300.00. I am more than happy with the result. Just my opinion.
As you can see below, my Ultra is the same color.
find a body shop jobber with a scanner AND a tinting station
or a paint guy that can tint paint.
scan a part off the bike, not a picture, that will get you 98 percent there, then the tinting does the fine tuning. a little white makes it lighter, a little balck makes it darker, add some of this and that gets you spot on. It is an art I am not capable of, but am in awe of.
There used to be a guy at Quick in Medford MA that did it all by eye, and he always got my paint correct... matched faded paint that would not ever look right next to a formula mixed paint.
Please remember that the painter is the unknown factor in painting. Is the paint stirred? how much gun pressure? how much distance from the tip of the gun to the part, how many coats, over what color base or primer.
