The speedometer no matter what gear I am in, or what speed I am going, it has a flutter too it. Sometimes a very small bounce in reading the speed. It bounces, flutters an average of 3 to 4 miles per hour while showing the speed... This is the best description I can give to what it is doing.
Here is where I need your knowledge. Has this happened to your bike? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Please keep in mind this is a 2007 Ultra Classic, there is no speed cable leading to the spedometer on this bike..
You could be having a problem with the speed sensor.
The other thing I've heard is that the electronics start acting funny if you shut the bike down by just turning off the ignition switch and not using the kill switch first.
I had the same problem with my 00 Sporty. The sensor is a magnetic pickup, so the small magnet will attract ferrous material. In my case the wires going into the assembly were broken.
