What you found is the standard, stock, no security system module. The security system "replaces" this moduel with one that has the security features installed. If your bike had the security system, it would not start without the key fob present unless you input the PIN through the turn signals. This is a standard stock (sans security) module on your bike. No worries.

So mine doesnt start without the key FOB on me.
Does that mean I have a security system?
I thought all 08's had that unit in them...
Not sure what dblcruizin is driving as there is no info provided.

All of the 08 Anniversary glide models came with the security system, but I believe on other version and models the security was an option that had to be added....at least that's what I was told.

I agree with windup08, only the 08 anniversary glides came with the security module standard. And it would be helpful if we knew for sure what dblcruizin is riding. Assuming he drove it home and has ridden it since, without a key fob or inputting a PIN, it's a safe bet he does not have a security system installed.

Unless the dealer zip-tied the key fob to the bike somewhere and forgot to tell him. Wonder if the security light flashes on the dash when it's parked?

security system is a option, but the dealers in NY metro area by me order this option on the touring models they stock, have not seen any touring models at dealers with out security system. easy way to know is by flahing signal lights after you turn off ign switch.

The security system module replaces the turn signal module.
