i think its time ta start lookin at batteries. i sell Interstate at work but im curious as to what u guys think of the wet/acid type battery compared to the gel or foam/fiber cell batteries??
is there a list of the top 5 batteries somewhere or a conumers report on them?? when i think of that battery sittin under my *** between my legs it make me nervous. any help??????
It is not uncommon for the HD batteries to last 4 5 6 years and more. The one in my deuce is original and I discharged it 2 times (Ignition left on) Charged it back up and it is still kicking. My only rule of thumb is to plug it in when the cover goes on and my alarm is set to hibernate after 20 days.

The terminals on the interstate batteries are junk in my opinion. If their all like the ones that are on the batteries made for the V-Rod, they crack easily. The nut and bolt set-up with the bridge type terminal is weak compared to the HD solid mounted terminal. I cracked one of the terminals within 2 months of owning the battery, disposed of it and bought the HD one. The little bit of money you save is not worth the aggravation!!
My next door neighbor owns a indy shop here in Maryland he sell any brand of anything
he told me the last time I was shoping for a batteries buy the harley it is much better thats all he will put in bikes that come to his shop he also said that the terminals are much better
