Default Redline Heavy Shockproof users input

For all you Redline users out there , here is my question.
I was reading the descriptions of the Redline Heavy Shockproof and V-Twin transmission oil with Shockproof at the website and now I wonder if the V-Twin version would be better.
It seems like most users are quite happy with the 5th gear noise reduction , but I would like to know if you guys use the Heavy or V-Twin with heavy.
I ran Amsoil SVG in my last bike (out of curiosity) and it worked well , although noise wasn't my concern.
I figure if Baker Transmission recommends it , it must be pretty good stuff.
Thanks.
Mick

Heavy Shockproof in my last two bikes (Dyna and Softail). I'm just breaking in my new '09 FLTR so I haven't made the switch yet from the HD crap. I was fully planning on using the HS again but now you got me wonderin'. What did you see on the website specifically that caught your attention?

Just run the regular Shockproof Heavy instead of the SPH V-Twin version, my understanding is that they are virtually identical in makeup.

You won't know the difference and the regular is easier to get.

I've used both AMSoil SVC & SP Heavy.

Both are fine.

Aince Baker recommends the SPH, & I have a DD6 I use SPH.

I noticed a difference between Amsoil and RL. I'm sticking with SP.

Running RL in all three holes and don't have "any" issues. Best oil for the money I've found so far. Have not ran Amsoil for comparison, my some day.

Ghost , while I was perusing the Redline site , it looked like there are 2 separate oils that do the same thing.
Redline Heavy Shockproof and
V-Twin Transmission Oil with Shockproof.
Both spec the same but the bottle says V-Twin......
Probably a marketing thing , but I was just wondering........
Thanks for the feedback guys.

Mick - Ran RLSPH in scoot for first 12K miles. Switched to Amsoil severe gear 75-140w last change, will be switching back to Red Line SPH. Tranny smoother and quiter w/RL, didn't care for the Amsoil in tranny, although been running Amsoil 20-50w in crank and won't switch that. One of the changes a while back I did use the RL Vtwin instead of SPH, noticed no difference, both great.

I put RL heavyduty shockproof in my tranny at first fluid change and have 38,000 kms on her now with 2 changes of tranny fluid to date. Runs quiet and shifts great. I chose RL based on the comments from this forum. In Canada, I have been getting the RL HD Shockproof through my local Parcoll automotive supply store.

I just use the regular Pepto-Bismol no heavy...no V-Twin.

No actually....I have used both and from what I can tell they are exactly the same. Just recently they switched their "V-Twin Power Pack" contents from including 1 qt of Heavy Shockproof to now include 1qt of their V-Twin Transmission Oil with Shockproof instead. It sure seems like about the same stuff to me.

gets rid of heart burn real fast to!
