I’m running with a dealer installed upgraded Harley security system with a pager on my ’09 Ultra Classic. Not happy! Seems you have to actually attempt to move the bike before the system goes off. I think you could remove a saddlebag and walk away without the system going off. Any thoughts, ideas or recommendations. Thanks.
When I first got mine, it was too sensitive because even a hard gust of wind would set it off. Took it back and the security system was replaced. Now, like yours, it takes a pretty hard bump or movement to set it off. I complained about that too, and was told it is "normal". Now, I just lock the bags, tour pack and fork when I leave it parked.
When they changed to the "buttonless" remote fob, the sensitivity adjustment was gone. I don't like it either but if you turn on the ignition switch without having your fob in close proximty the alarm will sound immediately. I had my 2000 RKC sensitivity set so you could just bump the handlebar it would go off. I really miss that! I figure it's better than nothing but wish I could turn it off when I wanted to. The passive arming is a PITA!!
Anyone know if its possible to turn off the security system? I have an 07 street glide and really dislike the security system. I bought the bike used (900 miles) so its not as if I had a choice.

If you have the siren module, you can just unplug that and remove it. The basic alarm only flashes the signal lights a few times if the bike is moved a bit, without any sound.
I bought a 2007 Road King Classic. It is in pristine condition. I am considering adding a security system. I have read about the expensive alarms, what about InterNatrix? It is reasonably priced and seems to have all of the bells and whistles.

I added the passive alarm to my bike, and the part number that was removed from my Road Glide and put in the smart security system box (68200-07) is part number 68920-07 ($91.20 at Chicago Harley Davidson).
I doubt that it is as easy as just removing the security part number (68200-07), and replacing it with the non security part number (68920-07).
I suspect that the dealer may have to make some electroic changes to the system, but can't imagine it would cost you more than an hours labor.
Just keep your eye on it. Because I had a Ultra classic with the Harley Alarm and it was taken from a Bike night at Buffalo cafe in Orange Park FL. Never found again. Best thing Progressive insurance paid bike off got a new one. Harley Alarms suck.
