I don't know the whole tire size formula and I was wondering if the new Metzeler 140/70V-21 would fit under a stock fender...anyone know?

It has me curious...anything to be different. Any reason why I wouldn't want to try one?

 

I don't even see it on their site, where did you find it? It must be in response to their memos to dealers not in install their 120x21 on touring bikes.. Where can I find the details?

 

Where did you see this? I can't find it on the Metzler site. I can find places selling it if I Google it, but can't find any specs (ie. recommended rim width, overall height, etc). Either way, I don't think it will fit under a stock fender without some work. A 120/70/21 doesn't fit under most stock touring fenders without having to enlarge the rear fender bolt holes.

I sure would like to see some additional info on it. I would seriously consider making this change, even if it meant another fender mod. I think it would look and handle great.

I saw it listed in my Drag Specialities fat book (part number in magenta)...it is new for '08. Part # 0305-0069 w/ a list price of $208.95. They have it listed on the DS website too.

I did a double and a triple take on the listed size because I too couldn't find it on the Metzeler website.

 

Any tire gurus or dealers out there?
