Default What causes this?

I have an '08 Road King w/ rush slipons. (Not sure what size.) In the last two or three hundred miles, I've started getting alot of decelleration popping. What causes this & will it hurt the bike? Also, how do I correct this?
Thanks, Joe

This is what I used around the seal of the slip-ons to seal properly. http://www.boatfix.com/shop2/scripts...dproduct=53377

You can get it at Autozone or any major auto store.

I had the same problem when I first put the BUB 7's on my '08 RKC. I solved the problem by calling the place I bought the power commander from and doing what they said, enriching the fuel mixture at 0% throttle position at all rpm's above 1500. Solved the problem perfectly. Hasn't affected the gas mileage at all (still get the same mpg) because the difference at 0% throttle is hardly noticeable. It's just enough to keep it from detonating in the pipe. The did say though to check the clamps first to make sure they were tight and they were. No more popping at all.

Check your plugs. My 05 did the same thing. Turns out the plugs were fouled. You didn't mention how long the pipes were on before the problem started.

Check all your exhaust joints and clamps too as it could easily just be an exhaust leak. That is known to cause decel popping too.

Thanks Guys, I've got almost 2000 miles 0n the bike. The Rush slipons were put on when I bought the bike. Like I said, it only started the decel popping about 2 or 3 hundred miles ago.
