Default 09's

I believe the 09's now have 17" front 16" rear. How do you guys like that combination compared to 16" front and rear

The new '09s are considerably more stable and planted feeling than the earlier models. They did a good job with all the changes in my opinion.

The '09's feel lighter in the front and seem more nimble turning. The 17" front was necessary to maintain the aspect ratio due to the new lower profile tire on the front. Bottom line is that even though the '09 is heavier (~38 lbs) than the '08's, they are easier to manuver at all speeds.

I just don't care for the rear of the frame being bolted on by three bolts on each side.
Maybe the new frame made it easier for harley to make a trike out of it and marketed it to us as better, hum?

All the riding reports must be a scam, then??? Don`t think so!

The entire bike seems better to me I especially like the change in the gearing I can run in 6th at 50 and walk right past all of my buds stock 07 and 08 baggers at top end. The best way to answer all your questions about the 09's is to go to your nearest dealer and take one for a test ride.

I noticed that the 2009s are much smoother riding and more stable in the corners.

It's pretty cold here and have not gotten to ride much since I got my 09 SG but the few miles I have put on ... WOW! Huge difference in handling and performance from my 06 Heritage.

How do you guys stand it up there in the cold country? Packin away your babies for 4-5 months and not being able to ride everyday would drive us warm weather boys crazy. A day without riding is like a day without sunshine. Yikes!
