You probably need to richen the fuel mixture a bit. You might want to check out XIED'S at nightrider customs. Do a search and you will find more info. The XIED'S worked for me.

it ran fine for 12000 miles then all of a sudden started could it still be a lean condition thanx for everyones help ride safe.

What does your dealer have to say about that? How can it be normal if it just started? I can tell you, that if it is stock, it is most likely running lean. I don't know why you wouldn't have noticed the surge in the first 12000 miles. Check your plugs, probably snow white or burned up from excessive heat.
