Default flame throwers

Anyone ever play around with the flame throwers you can install on vehicle exhaust pipes? Basically, all they do is ignite unburnt fuel with a spark plug in your exhaust pipe....

http://eatmyflames.com/

I've seen some products online that actually inject a bit of fuel into the exhaust for an added effect.

These things are highly illegal by the way.

Anyway, it seem flames are a very common theme on a lot of bikes, maybe some real flames would add to the effect.

Back in the day we would attach a spark plug to the tail pipe and rune a wire from the distributer to the top of the plug, add an inline switch and there you go....

I remember that. I also remember someone saying that is not the smart thing to do because it allows raw fuel to go through the motor and wash the cylinder walls. I wonder if these kits are made the same way now days.

A buddy attached a spark plug to the tailpipe and ran a small copper line from a propane canister. Flames shot 30 feet no problem.

How about a 50 cal simulator (Browning 50 Cal machine gun).

easy to make with some pipe, a coil and battery and some kind of timer to fire the device. Cadence is vital to getting the correct feeling of authenticity. The M2 Browning has a distinctive rate of fire.

If you had a 2-into-1 exhaust, and a ghost pipe, you could set the ghost pipe up with this rig to simulate machine gun fire.

kewl.
