Cool python predators

I put a set of python predator slip-ons on my '09 SG (stock headers). I'm just now reaching my break-in mileage and fixing to get the bike dyno tuned with a SERT. (I've got the stage 1 air cleaner).

I'm a little disappointed in the volume of these pipes - too quiet. Can anyone tell me whether I'll get better sound out of them solely by virtue of a good tuning? The bike runs a bit lean now (coughs black when I fire it up).

Anyone else have these pipes? I'm used to straight pipes with BCT lollipops which I had on my '03 FB. I don't want to go that loud on the SG, but somewhere in-between would be good. I've already dropped the $$ into the predators, and am wondering what if anything can be done with them to get more DB out out of them. Thanks in advance for any info/advice.

From my experience going true dual will definitely wake them up. I had stock pipes with Screamin eagle mufflers then went to V&H true duals with same mufflers and the difference was huge. Ended up going with Rineharts later though.
