RG Help
Did you remove all of the screws that attach the inner and outer fairing? Remove front turn signals? Also the outer fairing sits on a type off hook, so you will need to lift upwards while trying to remove.
If you think removing is tuff, wait till you try and put it back together!!!

Actually very easy. First cover the front fender with a soft cover of some sort. Take out the 5 screws located along the perimeter of the edge of the inner fairing. Unbolt the 2 turn signals and let them hang. Now straddle the front wheel and grab the fairing top and bottom. Lift upward and forward toward you carefully. It should pop off into your hands. Note that it sits on brackets toward the bottom. When it does release and your are holding it, set it down carefully on the covered front fender and unplug the 2 headlights. To re assemble obviously do the reverse sequence taking care to make sure the two pins align on the inner brackets. Hope this helps. I have had mine on and off several times. I understand that the glide fairing is alot easier to get on and off as opposed to the batwing. Ride Safe.
With all the hardware removed, grab the fairing and lift up quickly. It takes a little force.
Besure to cover the fender.Once seperated you need to unplug the headlight terminal before setting the fairing down.

Hmmmm, if he has taken out the six screws and taken the turn signals off, then goes to his computer to ask this question. The fairing is just hanging on the front of the bike. Now I'm sure if I did this, the vibration of the garage door closing would be enough to shake the fairing off the bike onto the garage floor after it makes a dent in the front fender on the way down.
A Search would have shown you this string: Help, Help, Road Glide fairing removal.
I would strongly recommend you read the comments in that string about putting the fairning back on (post #14) before you tackle that truely frustrating task...
