Does anyone know if it's possible to install fairing speakers on a '13 FLTRX through the headlight hole or is it a must to remove the outer fairing? Thanks for your input. I've been around awhile just never have time to check in on here
need to remove - "period".
only 3 screws at top front of fairing and 4 torx (#25 I recall; might be #27) on inner fairing (around sig lighter location and in the Triple).
COVER your front fender with several towels.
loosen up the front 3 a tad, then remove the 4 torx in inner fairing.
THEN remove left and right front phillips. hold front up with your legs (put front wheel between your legs). then loosen up middle one a tad more, remove windshield, loosen all the way. disconnect headlight and done.

It's been a couple of years, but from what I remember you have to pull the outer to get the headlight out.
Even if the light is out, with the outer on you could probably reach the speaks with your hand, but no room to get tools in there and actually work.
