Yes the chrome bolts will rust where the torx bit goes. I fixed that problem, by cleaning them up, installing so spec. and then using a touchup kit, clearing the inside of them. Been doing this fr two years, and never had a problem. Bits still fit, as long as you don't slop the clear into it. Use the small brush, and just coat it lightly.
