Then... business falls to nothing... stuck like Chuck with this bike for awhile. Not a bad deal except..., I do NOT like the sound and vibration of my new 'A' motor bike at all. My teeth 'buzz' at 3000rpms... No way in heck this makes 100k.
So are you unhappy with the purchase of the 09? Would you do it again? What dont you like?

Talking

With the economy the way it is, one son heading to university and the second going in a couple of years...I hope they last a long time!

I truely enjoy Harley Davidson and would have it no other way. If I chose to stop riding a Harley I wouldn't ride anything.

I have had my fair share of trouble with Hd. I have had 4 HD bikes have had trouble with everyone. I am very particular about maintenance but even with that I don't think that you can get 200,000 trouble free miles.

I had an 02 Ultra with lots of problems these are just a few. Replaced chain tensioners @ 48,000, oil pump, cam bearings, and chain tensioners @ 60,000. At 68,000 motor developed a noise as though cam bearings again UOA proved this with copper @ 69 PPM. I really wanted to see this engine go 100,000 but I also didn't want to spend my life savings and ruin vacations to get there. Would the engine have made to 100,000, yes how much "money ya got". So I traded for an 08 while on vacation. Well guess what, in the shop twice for TBW issues while on vacation. Twice for compensator issues. I bought the 08 at the end of June and put it away for the winter with 18,000. I know most bikes don't see this kind of mileage but 18,000 miles and in the shop 4 times.

I don't enjoy bad mouthing HD but I just get frustrated.

Just my opinion, but simply stating the facts is in no way bad mouthing the MOCO. Their products have always been problematic to some extent, it's just that they've gotten worse lately.

Wishing you the best of luck,

John
