I am looking for the BEST wireless/Bluetooth intercom system. My wife and I do a lot of two up riding and would really like a good intercom system. I have been reading about the Scala Cardo system and they seem to be pretty good. Has any one here had any experience with these models??? If not, What else is out there?? Thanks in advance.
We would like to get something that is expandable so we can communicate with other couples that we ride with.
The Scala BT systems are not stereo. For a dependable and expandable comm system, check out www.autocomamerica.com or Starcom Digital. I have the Autocom Active Plus Duo, not cheap but you get what you pay for. It's an intercom and is expandable for, wired or BT(with optional dongle) phone & GPS, iPod, CB, Radar Detector, and Bike to Bike (with optional 2 way radios).
I have been looking for a while and finally decided on the BlueAnt Interphone Bluetooth unit. There seems to be a lot of good feedback on these units. As a matter of fact I just ordered them today. Unfortunately, I won't get to try them out for a few months because of all the snow.
I have been looking for a wireless intercom for a long time. Seems many people like the Scala Q2 setup. Probably will get a set in the spring. Do a search here for this model and you will get some good feedback.
You know I often wondered the same thing, I've only been into the tour thing for a few years. the majority of our bikes were always customs. Now that I've come into the touring world, I've been wondering what the best set up was. I remember back in the days when I had a Goldwing, we had I believe J&M and it was a plug and play and worked great with a voice activated mike and it was easy to go back and fourth to CB, radio and Com. Actually the CB and Com would break into the radio while driving.
Is the something that works on the same lines as the Honda set up with the baggers? I also have a Zummo and when my phone rings it tells me on the Zummo, I have a in coming call. I just don't have a way of answering it. I planning a few long trips and the would be a great set up to have.
Look at the new chatterbox BT. Not sure how good it is but you can have tunes and talk to your partner. If you want bike to bike this is not the set up.
